There are 2 ways to add your crop plan. You can add crops individually by field or you can assign a crop to multiple fields at once.
First go into Farm Management > Crops and at the bottom of you can change the crop year to the one you will be working with
Adding crops by individual field
- Select your field
- Click on Add Crop/Split Field
- Click on the Edit button
- Add Crop
- Select Crop From List, it will then flow through to the selecting the Variety once you select your crop. (Note: You can type your crop in, but it will only show as a generic/unknown crop in reports. This affects the bugs and weeds lists if you are using it for scouting as well. It is recommended to pick from the lists. If your crop is not in the list, please email us at support@swatmaps.com to add it into the lists for you.)
- You can add another crop if your are intercropping by clicking on the Add Intercrop/Mixed Crop button
- Click on Accept to add your selection to the field
If you are splitting a field where only so many acres will be seeded to this crop and you want to add another variety of different crop, you can click on the Add Crop/Split Field button, follow steps 2-6 above and designate the total acres per crop.
