How to Make a Crop Report (Desktop)

Create a handy report that shows crop rotation, weeds, scouting observations all in one place!

  1. Select and open the farm operation you would like to work on. On the left-side toolbar under the report column, click Crop Report
  2. Once the crop report tab is opened, click the green plus button in the top left corner which will create a report. As the new report is open, make sure your crop year is set to the current year.
    1. Optional: You can select a report from the previous growing season and select the copy as new function. This will create a new report with information previously added on the old report. Important considerations to use this function include chemicals with a 22-month re-cropping restriction, and any persistent weed issues on a given field. If copy as new is selected, make sure your crop year is set to the current year as it will not update automatically.
  3. Click the green plus button on the report and select the fields you would like to include, click apply. This will input the fields onto the report and provide the cropping rotation for each individual field selected for the past 5 years.
  4. With the selected fields now on the report, you can now add additional notes to each field. Select the field to highlight it and click edit, a new tab should appear with various columns.
  5. Things to include/edit on each column
    1. Notes: Input any herbicides used in the previous year with restrictions
    2. Restrictions: What are those restrictions?
    3. Winter annuals/Perennials: Did this field get sprayed with a pre- or post-harvest pass?

      1. Optional: You can add annuals and winter annuals/perennial weeds in the respective columns if the weeds are known to be a persistent issue on the selected field. To automatically add the weeds, either select the automatically add weeds button or select the 3 dots on the right side of the column. Selecting the 3 dots will bring up past scouting reports, which you can select various weeds present in the field to include in the notes.

  6. Once all fields and notes are added to the report, return to the home screen and sync.
  7. Return to the farm operation you were working on. On the left-side tool bar, click Crop Report and open the report you were working on. Once open, select print. A pdf will open, and the field, cropping rotation, and any additional notes you had added will be present on the crop report.
