How to Add a Field

Once you have your farm added you can now add your fields. Go into your created farm then follow these steps;
  1. In the left hand menu, click on Fields
  2. Click on Add Field
  3. Enter in your field name (Recommended to number as seen below as this will help with auto populating your sample ID's for SWAT MAPS)
  4. Enter in your Folder Name ( Recommend to Copy and Paste your field name into the folder name. This will create the folder structure that you will be needed to file sync.)
  5. Optional: You can add a Land Location 
  6. Enter in the nominal acres (will be adjusted when your SWAT MAPS are made)
  7. Generate your Sample ID's (If using for SWAT MAPS)
  8. Optional: You can add a boundary in the Field Regions by selecting the .SHP of a shapefile.
  9. Once you're done, you can close this tab and add more fields if needed.
If you are done adding all of your fields to your farm please see configuring your farms for file sync.


Note: The Active button is used to hide the field from lists. You would deselect this Active button if the farm will no longer be farming this field. It will keep all the records and files of the fields, but it will hide it from any pick lists throughout SWAT RECORDS.
