SWAT CAM Pre-season Checkup

Quick checks to ensure your SWAT CAM functions properly in season

For SWAT MAPS Service Providers:

Annual Farm Setup must be completed in SWAT RECORDS prior to the cropping season.

To confirm your farm is ready: Check your SWAT CAM Farm Configuration

For SWAT MAPS Farm Customers:

Farm customers, we want to make sure you are ready to go with your SWAT CAM system by offering a no cost pre-season checkup where our support technicians will log into each camera device remotely to ensure software is up to date, images are fully synced, and each camera is ready to capture good quality images for the season.

Please follow these instructions:

  1. If the camera devices were removed from the sprayer for the off-season:
    1. Connect a USB type C charging cable and wall adapter to the camera. Insert the wall adapter into a power outlet and confirm the device powers on and is charging. If the device doesn’t power on due to the battery being fully discharged, allow the battery to charge for 5 minutes, unplug then re-connect the charging cable.
    2. Confirm the device display matches the layout shown in Figure 1 below.
    3. Once fully charged, reinstall the devices in the SWAT CAM assembly on the sprayer.

  2. If the camera devices remained on the sprayer for the off-season:
    1. Supply keyed power to SWAT CAM assemblies and check that each device powers on and is charging. If the device doesn’t power on due to the battery being fully discharged, allow the battery to charge for 5 minutes, unplug then re-connect the charging cable to the device OR cycle the keyed power from the sprayer.
    2. Confirm the device display matches the layout shown in Figure 1 below.
  3. Once the camera devices are powered up on the sprayer and have a strong cellular data connection, proceed to drive with the booms unfolded/in field position approx. 100 ft to 150 ft to allow the device to capture images.

  4. After completing the drive, scan the New Installation QR code decal (Figure 2) located on the side of the SWAT CAM assembly with your mobile device camera and tap the pop-up notification to be directed to the on-line Support Ticket form. Complete and submit the form with your name, email address and at least one of the SWAT CAM ID numbers.

  5. One of our technicians will review the images captured by your SWAT CAM system to verify image quality. You will be contacted if adjustments to the camera device are required.
