Quick checks to ensure your SWAT CAM functions properly in season
For SWAT MAPS Service Providers:
All SWAT partners are to ensure the following is set up in SWAT RECORDS prior to the cropping season:
- Each field has been set up in SWAT RECORDS
- The SWAT MAP has been ground-truthed and selected for each field
- A crop has been assigned to each field for the 2025 season
- Row Spacing has been entered for each field for 2025 season
For SWAT MAPS Farm Customers:
Farm customers, we want to make sure you are ready to go with your SWAT CAM system by offering a no-cost pre-season checkup where our support technicians will log into each camera remotely to ensure software is up to date, images are fully synced, and each camera is ready to capture good quality images for the 2025 season.
Follow these instructions:
- Prior to the checkup, please have the sprayers powered up (key turned forward but doesn’t need to be started) in a strong cellular connection area (not in a shop).
-
- Next bring the cameras near to a Wi-Fi Network and power outlet.
- Plug in an Android style USB type C charge cable as shown in Figure 1 to the bottom of the camera case to power up each of the cameras.
- To connect the cameras to a Wi-Fi network, see instructions here: How to Connect your SWAT CAM to Wi-fi If a strong cellular connection is not possible at the sprayer’s current location, remove each camera case from the sprayer by unscrewing the plastic nut underneath the camera case, disconnect the USB-C charge cable, and disconnect the plastic tether clip.
Figure 1. Android type C charge cable ends - Once the cameras are powered up and have a strong Wi-Fi or cellular data connection email support@swatmaps.com and indicate which SWAT CAM numbers are powered up and ready for the checkup. The subject title of the email to support should say SC XX+XX Checkup with XX being the SWAT CAM numbers on the camera case. Our technicians will notify you once the check is complete.
